Onda for Mac

Privacy

Onda is designed to keep your financial information on your Mac.

Last updated 17 August 2026

In the Mac app

Your imported CSV files, transaction descriptions and amounts, classifications, work profile, and tax inputs are processed and stored on your Mac. Onda does not upload them to MKPD or an AI service. The app has no Onda account, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.

Model download

Onda connects to Hugging Face to download its pinned local classification model. That request exposes ordinary connection details such as IP address and request time, but it does not include imported financial information. The model is checked against a pinned SHA-256 digest.

Website and waitlist

Cloudflare hosts this site and processes ordinary request and security information. Buttondown processes the email address, confirmation state, timestamps, and anti-abuse information needed for the waitlist. Email open, click, transactional-email, and archive web tracking are disabled. We use the waitlist only for availability updates and optional research invitations.

Support

Support messages and minimised tracking records are deleted 90 days after resolution. Do not send CSV files, transaction details, account information, tax amounts, IRD identifiers, or payment-card data. Accidentally received prohibited financial information is deleted as soon as practicable without copying its contents into the support tracker.

Your choices

Unsubscribe using any Buttondown email. For access, correction, deletion, or a privacy complaint, email hello@mkpd.co.nz. Legal retention requirements may limit deletion of order or accounting records.
